Using fine, sterile needles to stimulate specific points on the body, promotes natural healing, reduces pain and inflammation and improves overall health and well-being

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through the skin at strategic points in the body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain and increasingly for overall wellness and stress management. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force (known as Qi or chee) believed to flow through pathways or meridians in the body.

Inserting needles into specific points along these meridians rebalances one’s energy flow, stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissues, and boosts the body’s natural painkillers. Acupuncture is used mainly to relieve discomfort associated with a variety of diseases and conditions including dental pain, fibromyalgia, tension headaches and migraines, labour pain, lower back and neck pain, menstral cramps, asthma, carpel tunnel syndrome, and respiratory disorders.
